E. Stewart Jones Hacker Murphy accepts referrals from attorneys and law firms in New York State, other U.S. states and Canada. The firm services clients across the entire State of New York and prides itself on keeping referring counsel apprised as to the status of their cases. Referring counsel can maintain an active role in the referred case or take a more passive approach, depending on the client and situation. In addition, we will keep you informed as the referred matter progresses, notifying you in writing of all major developments. Our experienced attorneys will ensure the integrity of your attorney-client relationship throughout the entire process.
We pay referral fees on personal injury, medical malpractice and tax certiorari cases taken on a contingency basis. We pay the maximum referral fee allowed by law in the State of New York. All referral fees are paid promptly and referring counsel is given a complete itemization of expenses and a calculation of all legal fees.
Pursuant to New York State’s ethics rules for attorneys, any fee sharing agreement must be disclosed to the client in writing. If you would like to speak with an attorney regarding a possible referral, please contact Managing Partner, James E. Hacker or Partner, John Harwick by calling (518) 274-5820 or via email at [email protected] or [email protected]
